|Description:||The Temporary Senior Systems Administrator (TSSA) is a professional, highly skilled position dealing with technical and analytical work supporting all systems at HART (the Agency). The primary duties of this position are to directly support the Agencys e-mail system consisting of over 250 mailboxes running natively on Microsoft Exchange 2010. The person filling this position will also be expected ensure that core information systems at the Agency. These include but are not limited to the design, configuration, install and assurance of the proper functioning of the following: Cisco and 3Com powered networks with a primary focus on VoIP, NetApp, VMware, HP and Microsoft technologies; Exchange (E-mail); File Storage Systems (including NetApp and Thecus); Server Farm (Windows 2003 and Windows 2008); Active Directory (AD); Script Logic, and Group Policy. Responsibilities also include the periodic and methodical backup of systems and data based on a prescribed schedule and to ensure that they can be restored quickly, and completely when required.|

SAN Storage Support and Administration
System and File Backup (to Tape and/or Disk)
Windows Administration in a mixed Server 2003 and Server 200 AD Domain environment
Install and support server based applications,
Create and manage network file shares
Administer user rights
Coordinate technical staff engaged in troubleshooting, testing, analyzing, installing and correction of systems
Work with HART Employees and consultants to implement or troubleshoot server based systems
Mentoring of other Administrators
Provide answers and/or suggestions to technical questions regarding Server Farm and/or Windows Administration
Performs presentations to end users and department management
Configures, installs and maintains computer hardware, software and peripherals
Designs and updates network documentation
Acts as liaison between vendors and the user community for Server and/or Windows problems resolution by providing technical and analytical support
Installs, upgrades, and configures server hardware, printing, directory structures, rights, security, and software
Monitors, reports and maintains application usage for multiple products
Establishes and maintains hardware and software inventory as well as replacement schedule
Ensures that software licenses are maintained in compliance with applicable licensing regulations
Provides Help Desk support for the agency including afterhours support as required
Maintaining Data Integrity
Transit Specific Systems (ITS as an example)
Cell Phone Technology
Installation, configuration and maintenance of Cisco Routing and Switching equipment
Performs other work-related duties as assigned.
This position requires a Bachelors degree in Information Technology or a related field, and six years of experience in related positions; or a Masters degree in directly related fields with four years of experience.
Appropriate college coursework, technical training, or industry certifications may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience. Industry certification with directly related experience may be substituted for the degree requirements on a year for year basis.
Minimum of four years of Microsoft Exchange Administration experience.
Minimum one year of Exchange 2010 experience
Minimum of three years of experience with Microsoft Active Directory in a mixed 2003/2008 mode
Minimum two years of experience with San Storage systems
Minimum two years of experience with Tape backup systems
Minimum two years of experience with Server installation
Experience providing Microsoft SharePoint infrastructure design and support
Experience with NetApp 2050 and NetApp 2020 Preferred
Experience with Symantec Backup Exec/NetBackup preferred
Experience with Windows 2008 32 and 64 bit servers preferred
VMware Certified Professional (VCP) 3.5
NetApp Certified Data Management Administrator (NCDA) or NetApp Certified SAN Implementation Engineers (NCIE)
Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS): Microsoft Exchange Server 2010 Configuration or Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS): Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 Configuration certification or Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) certified on Microsoft Exchange Server 2003 consider earning the
Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist: Windows Server 2008 Active Directory Configuration
CompTIA Security +
Thorough knowledge of computer operations languages.
Standard office practices, procedures and equipment.
Knowledge of communication hardware, software, operating system, security, capabilities, characteristics and limitations of LAN and WAN.
Microsoft Windows Server and Desktop OS, Cisco IOS, Radius and standard data encryption protocols.
